The success of this year’s IPC New Product Awards at last weekend’s British Equestrian Trade Association Fair, proved that the equestrian trade is fighting back.

The saddlery and tack award, judged by breeder and show producer Sue Rawding, went to Frank Baines’s Reflex Cross Country saddle.

Karen Coumbe, Horse& Hound’s veterinary correspondent, choose Robinson Animal Healthcare’s Ventalintex wound gel to head the feed and veterinary section.

Dressage rider and columnist Pammy Hutton’s winner in the horse care category was Thermatex’s All-weather Nordic exercise rug.

Show producer and new Horse & Hound columnist Lynn Russell picked Matchmaker’s International children’s yard suit to head the rider clothing entry.

Olympic three-day event course-builder Mike Etherington-Smith’s safety and security winner was Lucinda Green’s new cross-country helmet.
