Meet Ronald Brewster – heavy horse groom


  • Twenty-four-year-old Ronald Brewster of Meer End, Warks wants to be Horse & Hound’s Groom of the Year having been involved with horses all his life – he grew up with his father’s Bandirran Clydesdales.

    Ronald is head groom for the St Michael Stud Percheron show team.

    “The Percheron horse is classed as a rare breed, I take great pride and pleasure in caring for these gentle giants,” said Ronald.

    Ronald’s responsibilities include taking charge of the feeding, daily exercising, total equine management of the horses on a day- to-day basis.

    He also looks after the stud’s two-year-old stallion and takes responsibility for the visiting mares,” says Ronald
