How to follow the equestrian Olympics with Horse & Hound

  • Get the most out the London Games, whether you’re watching at home or heading to Greenwich.

    Online coverage

  • Find frequent reports, news stories, blogs, cross-country course pictures and more on our Olympic microsite: www.horseandhound.co.uk/olympics2012
  • On cross-country day, we will be running our H&H Live service – an up-to-the-minute interactive online text commentary, with the opportunity to comment, take part in polls and answer quiz questions. Visit www.horseandhound.co.uk/olympicXClive to sign up for an email reminder
  • We will be sending out an email newsletter each evening, bringing together the highlights of the day’s action, the best reader pictures and a summary of the next day’s competition. Current e-newsletter subscribers will automatically receive these updates, but to sign up free of charge, go to www.horseandhound.co.uk/newsletter
  • On the first day of the equestrian events, we will be canvassing opinion on visitors’ experiences of getting to Greenwich to help readers heading there later in the Games. See the video from 29 July at www.horseandhound.co.uk/gettingtogreenwich
  • Email in your pictures from the Games – the best will be used in an online gallery, on H&H’s Facebook page and maybe in the magazine. Send your shots to HHolympicpics@ipcmedia.com promptly for a chance to feature.

    Pull-out-and-keep guide

  • Tomorrow’s issue (26 July) will feature a pull-out-and-keep guide to every one of the 200 horses and riders at the Games, with scoring columns – so you can keep abreast of the action whether you are heading to Greenwich or watching at home.

    Bigger reports than ever before

  • Our Olympic reports will devote 20 pages to each discipline, with more photographs, expert commentary and performance analysis than ever before.
  • In order to be able to include complete reports, two of our Olympic issues will be on sale on Friday instead of Thursday. The report dates are:
    • Friday, 3 August: eventing
    • Friday, 10 August: team dressage and showjumping
    • Thursday, 16 August: individual dressage and showjumping
