Jumbo has superb conformation and exceptional athletic movement with an outstanding calm and kind temperament. He became an advanced eventer at the age of seven, and manages to combine his few events each year with his stud duties.

During this winter he has been competing in dressage competitions, as well as enjoying the odd day out hunting.

Jumbo’s versatility and endless patience has been proven many times. He’s been in pantomime with Carl Hester, and has taken part in The Royal’s hunt relay event as a member of the Bicester and Whaddon Chase team.

His SHB-graded son, Jetset, won the four-year-old dressage championship at the grading and received nine out of team for his jumping. Jetset began his eventing career with Andrew Nicholson this season and was second in his novice section at his first event at Twesledown.

Many of Jumbo’s stock can be seen out eventing this year – fifteen competed at Stilemans with seventeen at Tweseldown at the start of the season.

In the last few years Jumbo has become very prominent in the breeding of dressage horses and last year was the winner of the “Horse Foundation Progeny Award for the Highest Rising British Dressage Stallion”.

Jumbo will be standing in Sussex till the middle of April and then will be coming home to Devon for the remainder of the season.

Grafham Stud always have youngstock by Jumbo for sale.
