The lucky winner of HORSE magazine’s competition to win a horsebox has been announced

The winner of HORSE magazine’s fabulous competition to win a fantastic horsebox is Linda Tooth from Basingstoke, Hampshire.

Linda clinched the prize with her hilarious tale about her horse, Mr Tomba, breaking free at a dressage competition before racing across a nearby polo field, churning up the beautiful turf watched by a horrified crowd which included Prince Charles!

Linda was presented with the keys to the Dodson & Horrell-sponsored lorry, which was ready to drive away thanks to a year’s free insurance from South Essex Insurance Brokers, at the Hickstead Equine Event by HORSE editor Jaki Bell, Tim Stockdale and Pippa Funnell.

“It’s a lovely lorry and I’m so lucky to have won,” says Linda. “It’s amazing to drive.”

  • If you didn’t win, don’t despair. The March issue of HORSE includes a competition to win one of five Ifor Williams trailers, and is on sale this Thursday (14 February).
